David Simons is a singer-songwriter who creates music as Oligarchy Ditch. Through the course of three decades of performing, recording and backing up dozens of well-known artists, O.D. is the keyboardist, rhythm guitarist and co-vocalist for Cat Jerky.

Aside from the artist's belief that every oligarchy should be ditched, There is an actual Oligarchy Ditch, and it too runs through Longmont, Colorado.
